A city near home deserves a place in your atlas, too. Stamp the places you remember, add the years you know, and build a record of real visits without needing every exact date.
Why stamps work
A map shows distance. A stamp remembers arrival.
Maps are excellent at showing where places are. They are less good at showing what a place meant to you. A passport stamp is different: compact, dated, and tied to the small ceremony of having arrived.
Mapliva borrows that visual language for a digital journal. Approve a trip or stamp a city you remember visiting. Add a year when you know it, or choose an earlier visit without naming the year. The stamp is an index into your own memory, not proof for an audience.
In the iPhone app, the Home cities filter offers city suggestions for your saved home country. Switch to All for the wider world collection, or search for another city or town. You can also scan photo history or add a trip manually.
When all your recorded travel is within your saved home country, Home, Atlas, and Profile put cities and a closer map at the center. Country records still show recorded days, cities, visits, and years, with links from cities back to their trips. Your atlas also keeps its year and biome filters.
Stamp what you remember.
Add a year or mark an earlier visit. You do not need exact arrival and departure dates to begin.
Open the memory later.
Filter the atlas, follow a route, and move from the stamp back into notes and dates when you want them.

Can I try it without installing anything?
Yes. The free two-minute Stamp Game runs in your browser. Your city selections are not saved when the page is refreshed.
What if most of my visits are close to home?
They belong in your atlas. Use Home cities in the iPhone app for suggestions from your saved home country, or search for a city or town beyond the suggestions. The world collection is still available under All.
Do I need exact travel dates?
No. A stamp can start with a year. For an older visit, choose the older-year option and add the year if you remember it. You can keep the memory without inventing precise dates.
Does Mapliva reward visiting more places?
The atlas can show totals and milestones, but there is no public leaderboard. The point is to remember your own travel, not outrank somebody else's.
Can a stamp include a journal?
Yes. The app is designed to connect the visual stamp to the trip, dates, places, and notes behind it.
